PRINTING FLYERS; ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW
When it comes to printing, the right papers counts a lot, as much as its contents do. Therefore choosing the right paper for your flyer is paramount to its success, just as putting on an incredible sales pitch.
There are different types of papers that may suit different needs and purposes. At Rush Hour Printing and Graphics, we use them for various customer’s needs.
Glossy paper
One is the glossy paper, excellent in presenting a professional look with popping colors and images that scream for attention. Glossy papers are durable and are designed for superior laser printing performance.
On the other side, however, the glossy paper may show dirt, especially if where they are displayed has lots of traffic. In this case, the second option may be better for you- the matte paper
Matte paper
Matte papers are used by photographers and business owners as well. This is because of its softer appeal in comparison to its counterparts. Also the fact that it absorbs light and in the same time deflects glare, making them a number one preference for the professionals.
In contrast to the glossy paper, the matte doesn’t stain or smudge.
At RHPG, we have found that, even if you are not using color and are printing in black and white, both the matte and glossy paper can work for you since they draw attention to your message.
When it comes to colorful images, the premium paper provides a smooth feel for vibrant color flyers. Besides, the paper is smudge and smear resistant.
Note that if your message has anything green in it, then a recycled paper would be a better option for you
Tips when printing
This is the final step in the process, and equally as important. The printing process is where all your hard work becomes tangible. You, therefore have to be cautious.
Follow some of these proven practices by RHPG professionals when going about printing and you will love your work at the end of the day.
A medium sized template is the most preferred size for a flyer. Most of them are printed on an 8.5 by 11-inchpapers. Even smaller sized templates are acceptable as well. We are talking of size as small as 4.25 by 5.5 inches
To present a professional and design of high quality, printing in full color is a necessity. As put earlier in the article, black and white ink goes well with a colored paper because of the flare it radiates to mesmerize the audience and grab attention.
It is also recommended that you use glossy ink whenever possible. Overlook its expensive price, its sparkling shiny and alive image especially when shone in the right light is surely worth it.
Insist on durable paper. To be specific, a 100# gloss text paper has a thickand substantial feel. Its counterpart, 80# is just about the thickness of a magazine and makes a perfect choice for flyers.
Last but not least, it’s always encouraged to save while printing. And how do you do this? By printing in bulk. Remember, the more you print, the more you save.
In conclusion, you should always look forward to designing the perfect flyer. A flyer is the first impression you give to your client without even meeting them. It also informs them why you are the better choice to do business withand not your competitor.
So take your time and choose the right material for your flyer design and you will reap maximum benefits from the flyer.
At RHPG, we understand what’s at stake. You can make the whole printing thing convenient by trusting us with the job. We guarantee you won'tbe disappointed.
